Our Story:
Wright Way Recovery
My journey is the foundation of Wright Way Recovery.
For many years, I struggled with addiction and mental health challenges. In 2009, I began my recovery journey—a step that was both frightening and uncertain. After nearly 20 years of living in survival mode, I was suddenly faced with learning how to live in a completely different way, without knowing where to turn or who to trust.
Those early days were filled with fear, instability, and hardship. I made poor decisions and took wrong turns before I was able to fully embrace a new life. I had no stable housing, no support system, and no sense of safety. I was disconnected from my family, including my children, and had been written off by many who once loved me.
I was also navigating life with limited education, no employment experience, and no understanding of how to rebuild. As a 10th-grade dropout, the idea of stability and self-sufficiency felt out of reach. I knew what it meant to simply want to be safe—to have support, understanding, and direction—but those things were not available to me at the time.
That reality is why Wright Way Recovery was created.
Wright Way Recovery exists to support women who are living in fear, abandonment, and uncertainty—women with low self-esteem who are leaving treatment, returning home from incarceration, or trying to rebuild their lives without a clear path forward. We provide the support, guidance, and understanding that so many women, including myself, needed but did not have.
This work is deeply personal. I often reflect on what I needed during my most vulnerable moments, and that is exactly what I am committed to providing now. I believe that with the right support, encouragement, and direction, one life can be completely transformed.
Wright Way Recovery is more than a program—it is a safe place to heal, grow, and begin again.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference
Your donation helps create a safe, supportive environment where women can rest, heal, and begin true life transformation.
Because of your generosity, women at Wright Way Recovery (W.W.R.) receive essential support during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Donations help provide basic personal hygiene items, ensuring dignity and self-care. They also support transportation to recovery classes, job interviews, court appointments, and essential services—removing barriers that often prevent women from moving forward.
Your support also helps women obtain critical legal documents needed for employment and stability, such as state identification and birth certificates—often the first step toward independence and self-sufficiency.
W.W.R. offers peer-to-peer support, recovery coaching, budgeting assistance, and life-skills training, helping women build confidence, responsibility, and a renewed sense of purpose. In addition, we partner with licensed therapists, addiction treatment providers, and mental and behavioral health services to ensure women receive professional care when needed.
At Wright Way Recovery, we believe healing is not about addressing just one challenge—it’s about supporting the whole person. When women are supported emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and practically, lasting change becomes possible.
Change is possible—with support and a chance.
